Our health and well being is important to living a healthy and balanced life. Add to that life abuse and neglect and life gets even tougher.  Under these circumstance unhealthy behaviors have been learned just to survive. Youth in our program have an opportunity through these learning objectives to identify unhealthy behaviors and develop healthy alternative they can adapt to meet their needs as they mature. 

3 Simple Rules

1. If you do not go after what you want, you'll never get it;

2. If you do not ASK, the answer will always be no;

3. If you do not STEP FORWARD, you'll always be in the same place.

Promote social, emotional, mental, physical and spiritual well being by providing access to resources and support programs through community partnerships, mentorships, counselors and other professionals in the community.

Objective #1 - Provide access to proper physical and mental health care services available to youth aging out of the foster care system.

Objective #2 - Provide life skills training to teach youth how to utilize services available to them  when they need them and know what to expect now and in their future.

Objective #3 - Teach youth how to create a healthy lifestyle of cooking healthy meals, eating right, loosing weight, and physical fitness options and alternatives.  

Objective #4 - To improve social and personal relationship skills by teaching youth what is proper social etiquette and the characteristics of healthy relationships.

Objective #5 - To help youth identify harmful areas in their lives and teach them how to reduce or eliminate bad habits or situations by teaching youth to find and create better circumstances for themselves.

Objective #6 - To encourage youth to participate in extra-curricular activities to enhance their health and their future through physical fitness, music, sports, theater and other areas of interest to youth.
